Anchored Adaptability
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving (Col. 2:6-7).
At Trinity, we hold onto Anchored Adaptability. We are both grounded in the Gospel and comfortable taking healthy risks as we follow Jesus, together.
We have a high view of Scripture and we value our Lutheran theology. We want to be true to the faith we have received. That solid grounding gives us the courage and freedom to try a wide variety of experiments that help communicate and express our faith, engage others in new ways, and bring people into deeper dependence on Jesus.

Broad Belonging
Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God (Romans 15:7).
At Trinity, we cultivate Broad Belonging. We believe every person already has a relationship with Jesus (whether they know it or not). Our sense of belonging includes a broad range of people with a variety of connections to our mission and ministry.
We are thankful for our core of local members who faithfully sustain the work of the church throughout the year. We also celebrate our seasonal visitors, associate members, online community, and residents of Arcadia, surrounding areas, and partner ministries who share our values and mission. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to engaging the life of faith we share, so we support a variety of ways people belong here at Trinity.

Creative Collaboration
Jesus sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go (Luke 10:1).
At Trinity, we resource Creative Collaboration. We believe every baptized person has the gift of the Word and the Spirit to share in their everyday lives. Our natural tendency is to provide tools to help people look for Jesus at work in and through their relationships.
We love being part of a collaborative effort, and we want to help combat loneliness with real relationships. We provide tools for individuals, groups, and families that help them follow Jesus together. We also look for creative ways to partner with other community groups or ministries, as a church and as individuals. We want to be a hub for Gospel activity wherever our diverse community is found.

Deep Dependence
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5).
At Trinity, we lean into Deep Dependence on Jesus. At the foundation of our ministry and the heart of identity, Trinity Arcadia is committed to the truth that we desperately need Jesus, both for our salvation and for the living out of our calling as witnesses and reconcilers.
We recognize that the more we grow and mature in the faith, the more we become aware of our own dependence on Jesus. Therefore, the touchstone of our preaching, teaching, and discipleship efforts is dependence on Jesus. From congregational decisions to individual engagement, our work together is held under an umbrella of grace and empowered by the work of the Spirit, who shapes Jesus in us. When we engage in the ministry of reconciliation as salt and light in the world, we believe we are merely entering into the work that Jesus, the Word of God, is already doing in our families, friendships, neighborhoods, and communities.
